Big Move, Big Goals
Hola Amigos,
My last days in the military have been hectic. I swear its like Murphy's Law with me. If anything could have possibly went wrong with this transition, it sure happened. And I fear it isn't over. To my friend Keith, almost out buddy. Check his blog out at http://mrfinklegoestodublin.blogspot.com/ . Back to the pressing matters at hand.
So I fly out the middle of this week. EXCITING! I'm ready. I got a place to crash at and live for a while. There is a program called Troops to Energy, that I am currently trying to get my hands into. I still haven't found any Human Resources I could call or contact for this. Maybe with your help I can get some numbers for this program. I have my eyes set on a security officer job out at Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant. I have the skill set, the only skill set I don't have is searching for the numbers I need to make this happen.
I haven't had time to work on anything new with my writing. I've been extremely busy. The potential publisher I had lined up fell through. Life sucks sometimes, for everything else, there's MasterCard. I've been using my computer off of a tapped Wi-Fi signal. I cancelled my cable and internet getting ready for the move.
I just can't wait to get back home and see my family. Five years of military experience, now I get my shot to help the world on my schedule. Mr. Finkle, you will get to Dublin. I'll be around to help you in your ventures soon.
Until Next Time,
Aaron B. Vick

Children's Book Complete....Next Project?
Okay,
Its been a while but I'm back. Lots of writing has been going on. Writing on the children's book and some shorts for my compilation. Music has been my main motivator. I love the way the stories turned out, and someday you will get a chance to read them.
Shout out to my friends and family, I'm almost home. Two more weeks left until my final out from the military. Well, roughly two weeks. Had a good weekend. Went to a delicious (and expensive) dinner. Chilled with some beautiful ladies, Courtney and Amber I'm talking about you.
Well until next time.
Check out my buds blog and give hand. http://mrfinklegoestodublin.blogspot.com/

Glass Half Full....I Think So
Hello You All,
Gonna make this one quick. A publisher called me yesterday about getting my children's books project a-rolling. The beginning of my day yesterday was so bad. After lunch, I procured a date for the Valentine's Day ritual of spending money on chocolate, jewelry, and wine. We went to see Safe House (I am such the romantic). Anyway all these good things made me forget the beginning of my day.
I'll start on a manuscript soon, and maybe I'll post pages on this here blog, just so ya'll will get an idea on how the story works.
Until Next Time

Just Started on My Children's Book
Hello Again,
Aaron here with an update. Just started with my children's book "Adventures of the Superguys". I based the title on my step-sister's beautiful and adorable children. My nephew has these Action Figures he calls his 'Superguys'. He has even named one after me, isn't that awesome. His brother follows in his stead, absolutely loves those 'Superguys' because his older brother does.
I thought my first children's book should be dedicated to them, I love those boys. And besides, I got the name from them. I have an idea that involve the 'Superguys' try to solve problems around the bedroom and the house. Each problem a lesson for young children, of course, that they can comprehend. They help their 'Leader', which parents will be able to insert their child's name in the story, understand cleanliness, off-limits areas, etc.. I think it will be an exciting story for the kids, and a exciting tool for parents.
As I have said before, I don't have any kids, and I'm not around small children enough to understand what parents teach the young ones ages 3-6. I would love if anyone can give me ideas as to what these topics could be. A few things popped in my head while writing this paragraph: using the potty, and different foods.
I know I said I started the book, but I haven't started writing. But I do have a solid theme. Also earlier today, I pondered up a story made for little girls, "A Princess Story". Same idea where parents can replace the name of the 'Princess' with their child's name. I think this sound exciting. Unfortunately, I know even less about what a little girl would like to hear, and how parents teach them to be little angels.
If I can get some help, I would gladly send a copy of the stories to whoever presents some ideas. Be a part of an awesome story for your kids, or a family member's kids, or any kids you know. They always appreciate a story.
Thank you to whoever reads these blogs. I know they are not well published, but hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this.
Until next time.

My life starts new and with you all.
Hello People,
Aaron Vick here, and boy do I have some things to say. I started this blog because a friend, I highly respect, inspired me. You can visit his blog here at www.mrfinklegoestodublin.com.blogspot . Please check out his blog and help him out. Back to the issue of me getting it right. What does that mean....?
Well, I am separating from the military after five grueling years and one deployment. I started thinking of ideas about what i wanted to do to keep me busy while going to school. I came across a few thing that lead into the discovery of: Me wanting to help the youth. Never before have i thought about this, until the recent months.
I made a list of what I want to do to accomplish this. Maybe you all can help me come up with some ideas (they would be greatly appreciated.)
1.) I want to write a children's book. I want to come up with an idea and moral to keep kids entertained, while teaching them a comprehensible fundamental at their stage of life. Me not having kids, is that a reason why I can't Think of anything? If so send me some ideas of what you would like to see.
2.) I want and am going to become a Big Brother. I put time and effort into the research of the organization. I find it to be a very uplifting program, even for me. What better way to stay on the straight and narrow, avoid unnecessary trouble than to mentor and help shape a future citizen's life. I know it will be enjoyable.
3.) I want to film PSA's about some of the trouble out there involving today's youth. When I was in school, we would watch ton of these videos. I've asked around and I've come to realize there is just not that amount of participation from schools in this area anymore. I am not saying they don't teach awareness to the youth about certain issues, just saying it is not that often. I will have to do more research on what's out there and how available it is.
I would love to involve more people in this and create a a network of similarly motivated people. Please read and pass on this blog to everyone in hopes we can shape America's youth into a more positive direction.

4.) My ultimate goal is to grow as an individual who shows they care about what's going on in society and help recreate, what I believe is lost, a society that is focused on the safety, wellness, and growth of today's youth.
5.) Suicide awareness. In the military, there is a quote from former Sergeant Major of the Army Kenneth Preston: "One suicide is one suicide too many..." This struck my heart. In the military we preach this subject. I think it's time to branch it out to society. I am dedicated to finding ways to minimalize this unfortunate thought. Right now i can provide numbers to some national hotlines:
